Defender Joe Sheridan has become the latest player to benefit from the programme, earning a full scholarship to Penn State University in the United States.
Having spent several years developing within Crystal Palace's Academy, Sheridan will now continue competing at an elite level while working towards a university degree through one of America's leading collegiate football programmes.
Founded by Sam Craven in 2013, Vertex Soccer was established to support academy players looking for opportunities after leaving professional clubs. Today, the organisation provides scholarship placements, international tours and professional development programmes for aspiring footballers.
Crystal Palace has worked alongside Vertex Soccer for the past five seasons, helping academy graduates explore pathways that combine elite football with higher education.
Penn State offers Sheridan the opportunity to compete in NCAA Division I soccer while studying at one of the country's top universities. The programme enables players to continue developing in a professional training environment without sacrificing their education.
Vertex Soccer has already helped several players progress into professional football, including Major League Soccer, while ensuring every student-athlete graduates with valuable academic qualifications.
