The Furman University Men's Soccer team ventured out on a 10-day tour in England that was more than just football. This trip was a diverse experience of soccer, culture, and learning that gave the players memories to last a lifetime.

Upon landing in Manchester, they wasted no time, diving into their first fixture against Burnley FC U21 at Barnfield Training Center on Day 4. This match wasn't just a game; it was a test against top English youth talent, showcasing their determination and passion.
After a brief recovery period, they faced Crystal Palace U21 on Day 7, enduring classic English weather. Battling it out at Crystal Palace's impressive training ground in Beckenham, London, the energy was electric despite the freezing wind and rain.


Live matches were a highlight, starting with Manchester City vs. Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium. Days later, they witnessed Champions League action in London, as Tottenham took on AC Milan.
The learning continued with high-level training sessions at Everton's Finch Farm, hosted by Paddy Byrne, Everton Academy Coach, and another session led by England Assistant Manager, Steve Holland at Fulham FC Training Ground.
A standout moment was a team dinner at London's Tower Suites Hotel, featuring guest speaker Welsh Coaching Legend, Osian Roberts, who shared valuable life lessons along with his soccer insights.

In a nutshell, the Furman University Men's Soccer 10-day Tour of England was an experience of culture and growth. From battling it out on the field with English youth teams to seeing live Premier League and Champions League games and even getting a taste of elite training at Premier League training grounds. The players went back home with more than wins - they had a bag full of memories, skills, and a fresh perspective on the world's most-loved game.
